ChumpCar @ BIR 7/20&21

"Calm before the storm"?  Gridding up for action Sunday AM.

"JAB finished race #1 in one piece in 9th place out of 55 entries as the highest placing FWD car and the 2nd highest finishing non-BMW. We're all set to run hard on day #2 and hope to finish even higher today"  Alex B.

Short video of Kent in Turn#3
A short clip of our friends from Canada; RIP Neon.
Another short clip of a BAD attempted pass.
We climbed all the way up to 4th!
"After getting up to 3rd, Nick was having a great race for position with Team Party Cat for about 40 min. About a lap after running the car's best time of the weekend, the engine seized up right in front of the pits and Nick coasted the car in. Looks like we're done for the day. It's a shame to end the weekend like this but at least everyone got a stint or two in the car and ran clean races all weekend long."  -----Alex B.

Car Craft is on July 19-20-21

Sign up for this exciting event--Volunteers needed!

Register for a shift!  Go to
http://msreg.us/carcraft2013

Bonus!  Club drivers:  increase the number of crew or guests you bring to BIR with free entry.  You get 1 free crew/guest for every 4-hour shift worked by you or a team member.  Or $10 "SCCA-LOL Bucks" (applicable for LOL events).

Car Craft is a fun fundraiser for SCCA-LOL.  It’s a family event, an Autoshow, solo events and more for a great weekend.  Whether you are a driver or race staff, join us to work the solo events.

It’s a low-keyed day for SCCA volunteers.  At the end of your shift you can drive the solo course or walk through the auto show.  Best of all, in exchange for our volunteers, Car Craft makes a nice donation to our organization, which allows us to fund racing in Minnesota.  Volunteers also receive SCCA Bucks each day worked.

We need 11 volunteers each day, so pick one, two or all three days to work.  There are plenty of breaks, and you get to help other Minnesotans discover the passion for driving!

To register go to

NATIONAL Rally-x! Contingencies available!

TWO DAY EVENT!!! Mazda, Subaru, and VW are all offering contingencies!

Registration Link

For the first time ever, our region's rallycross program will be holding a TWO DAY! Blazing Sun National Challenge Event at the Isanti County Fairgrounds in Cambridge, MN! Mark your calendars down for July 13th and 14th for some dirty fun! Campin...g on-site, prizes, contingency pay-outs, and more are in store.

The SCCA RallyCross National Challenges brings competitive playing in the dirt to your neck of the woods. Drivers from nearby states get together to sling some dirt just like the big show in Tulsa. And if you've got game, you'll be crowned the Division Champion.

The competition takes place over two days over multiple courses - just like the RallyCross Nationals. Typically, for the Land O' Lakes region, the 1st day you'll get 3-4 run sets (2 runs per set) on one course. On the 2nd day we get to play some more on yet another course. You can plan on at least one session and possibly two. Unlike our regional events, ALL your runs count with any cone and gate penalties added to your time. And in RallyCross we have 9 classes divided between front, rear, and all wheel drive and then divided by stock, prepared, and modified. So there's a place for you to play.
So come for the competition. Come for the camaraderie. For sure come for the fun!

Jack Pine Sprints @ BIR w/ SCCA-LOL

Track own Jed C. giving my friend/neighbor/pit crew John a few hot laps in the Radical; 150+ mph.

hmmm....155....205....199....200....
I put almost 100 track miles on the car during the SCCA/BIR PDS Competition School!  During practice and qualifying the motor started puking oil out the breather.  No racing for me!  :'(
