Ice Racing......FINALLY!!!

After several cancellations there will be an IIRA (Inernational Ice Racing Assoc.) http://iira-icerace.org/ event this weekend in Garrison (Millacs Lake).  Registration will be at the Blue Goose, party afterwards at the "The Y".  There will be several events going on at the same time.  IIRA will be "road racing", another club will be circle track racing, along w/ snowmobiles, atv, dirt bikes...ect.  FYI there is a "gate fee" to get out on to the lake.

It is unknown if there will be enough cars to compete in the "Rubber to Ice" class.

As of this week there is just over 6 inches of ice so far!  The lack of snow fall is going to make things interesting!   One of the big changes for this year is that the Rubber-to-Ice racers (no studs, just snow tires) do NOT need a cage!!!!  So any old car will do!

Winter Rally Series

The website for the ASCC web site for the 2011-12 Winter Rally Series has been updated. Not all links are working yet, but at least the schedule is up.

For those of you not familar w/ TSD's....Time Speed Distance....they are kinda like a rally, where you are give "stage notes" and you need to get from point A to point B with in a certain amount of time.  If you are early or late, you loose points.  It gets to be quite challenging, especially when one makes a wrong turn, and now one has to make up that "lost time".  Most of these are done on "back roads" in country.

Competitor registration- All competitors are urged to register and pre-pay no later than 5PM on Friday, November 11th.

Special Note: We need to have 12 PAID competitors by Friday November 11th at 5PM in order to hold the event. Please check the hotline for updates.

If you need to register after 5PM you must do so in-person at the event. There will be a $10.00 fee to pay at the event. (This is above your competitor entrance fee)

SCCA Members: $40.00
Non-SCCA Members*:$55.00
Registration and/or Paying at the event, add $10.00
* Non-members are required to purchase an SCCA Weekend Membership for $15.00
(The weekend membership can be used as a $15 discount on a full SCCA membership).
All competitors and spectators must sign the official SCCA Waiver of Liability.

All competitors MUST work the course as a condition of event entry.
All competitors must have an FRS Radio, radios cannot be shared between competitors.
All competitors must have a Snell/M 1995 or newer helmet. Loaner helmets are available but the quantity is limited.
Passengers will be allowed if waivered and wearing an approved helmet.
