Annual SCCA-LOL Summer Picnic

Mark your calendar for Sunday, Aug 2nd starting at 2pm, at Elm Creek Park Bluebird Picnic Pavilion for our Summer Picnic.

Whether you are a current or past member of SCCA, worker or driver, JOIN us!  Share your memories, pictures, and stories as we gather at Elm Creek Park (in Maple Grove).

Hot dogs will be provided.  Just bring a salad, veggie, or dessert (but if you can't bring something join us anyway!)

Help us reach friends we haven't seen for awhile.  Call your buddies in Vintage, BMW or other groups; reach out to former members where ever they are.  Racing memories just don't go away.  And with our annual picnic they'll continue to live.

If you have any questions please contact Mary at 651-408-1203

SCCA-LOL National Rally-X

https://www.facebook.com/events/434639603375354/

Two-day Central Division National Challenge event. Course is an infield comprised of grass over hard-packed dirt.

Course degradation at this location has been observed to be minimal.

We are making up our Treading Thin Ice event to make our National Challenge event 2 days long. If you want to do both days, sign up for the National Challenge and if you can only make it to one of the days, sign up for one of the regional events. There will be 3 sets of results, 1 for each day and 1 for the combined times, which will be the results used for nationals.

National Challenge 2 day registration:

Volunteer with the SCCA this Weekend at the St. Paul Minnesota Fairgrounds Autocross Course!

SCCA_solo
Do you want to get into the show for free?  Do you want to drive the course as much as you want in your car?  Do you want a front seat to see some wicked fast cars tear up the autocross course?  Interested in shagging cones and ensuring that our autocross participants have a great time? Then come out and give us a hand with staffing our autocross event!
The Street Machine Nationals Autocross (formerly known as "Car Craft") is back in town and we need your help!  It's an important SCCA fundraising event that is a blast to work, AND, you can drive the autocross (without waiting in long lines) if you volunteer to work.
We have two sessions each day we need volunteers for, an AM and a PM shift.  Friday and Satruday AM shift is from 10am-2pm and the PM shift is from 1:30pm to 5:30pm.  Sunday we only need to staff a single shift from 8:30am-1:00pm.  We are looking for a total of 8 volunteers per shift to make sure the event goes well.  We need a minimum of 4 volunteers for each session to host the event and as of today, we have a gap in filling the required spots for the PM shifts on Friday and Satruday.
Click the button below to register NOW because space is limited.  It's a fun and easy way to give back to SCCA while enjoying your passion.  ** Volunteers must be age 16 and up.

Please contact Mike Baloga at (612) 432-1994 or mike@mikebaloga.com if you have any questions or troubles getting signed up.

We tech the cars first (make sure they are empty of loose items, then line up participants on a grid.  Last year over 400 people participated!
smnautoxcourse
We run a LOT of people through a really fun course...and help SCCA-LOL raise funds for driver and member growth.  Please join us!

NASA & Trans-Am Independence Day Weekend

....DRAFT!......

Another car who isn't in the same class, whom I passed 2 laps earlier (that car is capable of running 20 seconds a lap faster than I) decides to dive bomb me in T1 (you know the turn that is large enough to turn a truck & trailer around in) and couldn't make it stick . Sadly my stupid GoPro battery quite recording 3 laps prior.

Special thanks to Ryan who came out to help out as crew!  He got a chance to do NASA's HyperDrive, in his turbo Miata.
